Advice for Track Runners: The Nike Rival Sprint Track & Field Sprinting Spikes are specifically designed for track running events ranging from 60m to 400m. They are also suitable for hurdle events.
Underfoot Feel
The outsole and midsole are designed with the intention of you sprinting on your toes. A lightweight, snappy and sturdy 3/4-length spike plate is there to help you to sprint on your toes.
There is very little protection or cushioning underneath your feet. If these spikes are used for their intended purpose, this should be a positive; not a negative. If they were bulkier and flatter underfoot, they may slow you down.
Upper Fit
The upper has a midfoot band to provide support through the arch. At the forefoot you will find mesh layered with reinforcement - providing breathability and durability.
Ideal Run Type
As mentioned, the Nike Rival Sprint Track & Field Sprinting Spikes are for track running events ranging from 60m to 400m.
We do not recommend using these Nike spikes for anything other than their intended purpose.

Sizing Advice
Important Sizing Note: When buying unisex Nike spikes please refer to the size guides and choose your size based on the EU sizing. The conversion for UK sizes 6 and below differs slightly from road or trail running shoes.
Note that spikes are designed to be snug and secure, limiting lateral movement while providing drive onto the running surface. They are manufactured quite small in comparison to road or trail running shoes. To ensure a secure fit and optimum performance, we recommend your spikes being at least a full size bigger than your regular shoe size.
